Proponents of concentrated animal feeding operations say CAFOs are a way for young farmers to get their start in agriculture.
Justin Ostrander, a Greene County High School 2013 graduate, hopes to add his name to a growing list of Greene County residents doing just that.
The Greene County supervisors will score a master matrix next Monday for Justin Ostrander Home Site in Hardin Township, section 21, on Orchard Ave. south of 195th St. Ostrander plans to build two buildings for a 4,800-head total capacity.
The supervisors will hold a public hearing on the proposed CAFO Monday, Nov. 14, at 9:45 am in the board room at the courthouse.
